Clayton Sleep Institute Receives AASM Reaccreditation For Both In-Lab and Home Sleep Testing
CSI accredited since 2004 for In-Lab and since 2009 for Home Tests
Mar. 12, 2014 (St. Louis, Mo.) The Clayton Sleep Institute (CSI) received a reaccreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) for both in-lab and home (out-of-center) sleep testing offerings in February, 2014. CSI is one of a handful of accredited sleep testing centers in the St. Louis and metropolitan areas to offer both services.
“Our in-lab and home sleep testing programs provide the latest in sleep medicine to patients with difficulty sleeping,” said Dr. Joseph Ojile, founder and chief executive officer of CSI. “The home sleep test (HST) is a more recent procedure that assesses sleep apnea and even obstructed sleep apnea in patients that do not have certain serious health issues. It’s a great, convenient option for the right patient.”
The AASM accreditation is the gold standard by which the medical community and the public can evaluate sleep medicine services. More than 2,500 sleep centers have demonstrated the highest quality of care by achieving AASM accreditation. The Standards for Accreditation ensure that sleep medicine providers display and maintain proficiency in areas such as testing procedures and policies, patient safety and follow-up, and physician and staff training.
The Clayton Sleep Institute has been accredited by the AASM for in-lab since 2004 and home (out-of-center) sleep testing since 2009
