CSI Snapshot

Background:

Dr. Joseph M. Ojile, board certified in pulmonology and sleep medicine, led the team that launched Clayton Sleep Institute (CSI) in 2002. CSI’s vision was to create a 360 degree program to address the complex physiological, behavioral and communal elements of sleep medicine and sleep health.

In 2009, Dr. Ojile took his dedication to another level. Along with other sleep professionals, he established the Clayton Sleep Research Foundation (CSRF) to further the study of and education in sleep disorders and sleep medicine. A primary effort CSI sponsored and achieves through partnership with CSRF is the annual national conference in sleep medicine, Midwest Updates in Sleep Medicine.

Capabilities:

In its dedication to provide the very best medicine and science of delivering sleep help to the patients it serves, CSI offers four unique practice areas:

  • THE SLEEP CLINICS – CSI currently operates seven Sleep Clinics in four markets. Each one is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and provides a diagnosis and treatment for the full range of sleep disorders. CSI operates two branded full service sleep centers, equipped and staffed to test for and treat all sleep-related issues. CSI diagnoses and treats the full range of adult and pediatric sleep disorders from sleep apnea to insomnia, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder and narcolepsy.
  • THE INSOMNIA CENTER – The Insomnia Center addresses the complexities of the diagnosis and treatment of insomnia. The center has a proprietary process for analyzing and developing a plan of treatment for each individual insomnia patient.
  • THE RESEARCH CENTER – The Research Center manages or participates in national sleep research studies for pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies. It also develops investigator-initiated studies for important issues in sleep medicine.
  • THE KNOWLEDGE CENTER – The Knowledge Center at CSI leads all of the sleep education and certification programs. Its purpose is to develop patient education programs, professional education programs for physicians, nurses, technologists and respiratory therapists. The Knowledge Center also develops programs for business audiences and outreach to community groups as well as the public.
